"X marks the spot" bracelet
This is a fair trade piece of jewelry, handmade in the Himalayan region of India. This bracelet is made out of tree resin beads on an elastic band. Artisans dry tree resins and later work on them, giving them a rounded, polished wooden effect. At the end, the artisans infuse an “OM” symbol on beads parallel to the elastic bands. The beads perpendicular to the elastic bands have “X” marks carved on them. Local stones and metals are added to give them the final touch.
